****Internet Registration Module Security Statement****
Peopleware knows how important security is to our customers. That is why we have made security a top priority. Our Internet Registration Module takes advantage of state-of-the-art security systems to safeguard our customers' data and communications.
Feature Benefits
Physical Security
The Web and data servers are located in a Seattle, WA facility behind both traditional dead bolt and magnetic cardkey locks. A limited number of Peopleware employees have access to the facility. It staffs two full-time engineers and the building has 24-hour security personnel. The facility features redundant electrical generators and redundant air conditioners to ensure an optimal server environment.
Data Encryption
The communications between the Transfer Manager, Web browser and Web server are encrypted using 128-bit Verisign SSL (Secure Socket Layer) Certification and 1024-bit RSA public keys.
User Authentication
Each Customer when accessing the admin site or using the Transfer Manager must first provide a username and password (and a client code, in the case of the Transfer Manager) which is validated against security accounts set up by the system administrator.
Application Security
The structure of the application prevents one customer from intentionally or accidentally accessing another customer's data whether in the registration site, the administration tool or the Transfer Manager.
Operating System Security
Peopleware enforces tight operating system-level security by using a minimum number of access points to all production servers. All unnecessary users, protocols, and processes are removed and the servers do not share a master password database.
Database Security
The data server is separated from the Web server and protected by firewall software from a leading security vendor. The data server uses limited, non-routable networking protocols for enhanced security.
